Chapter 6 – The Dream Walkers

I heard my sister’s shout as my mate collapsed on the ground,  I could feel the intense pain she was in. I was extremely furious, how could these mortals hurt my precious beautiful, brave mate. She had suffered for her mortal friend who was currently unaware of the pain she was going through. There were bruises in her arms and legs and  they weren’t healing, “something is wrong, she should be healing." Kaiden crouched down and touched the back of her head, “she knocked her forehead and the back of her head pretty bad, she’s bleeding. "She looked so fragile lying there with her eyes closed, it was scaring me. I cradled her in my arms, she fitted perfectly in them, her blood smelled like ice cream, that was interesting because my favourite food was chocolate ice cream. “Let’s go home!” Eva ran and a few minutes later she had all our stuff. We did not waste time, not with my mates life on the line. Shifting we ran in inhuman speed, soon we were home. Our father who Kaiden had called on the way was already waiting for us.
