chapter 5 – Secrets under moonlight

School was not the best experience for a werewolf, with our heightened senses it was hard work to tune out the chatter and smells. I have gone to school before and had good grades and stuff but it was all in the community we lived in. And the school had only werewolves , which meant no ear piercing bells to note the ending of a period and no humans brushing up on our body. When I arrived in the morning I was greeted by the receptionist , “Morning Mr. Reynolds, I hope you have a pleasant day!” She was one enthusiastic mortal. But human teenagers were another nuisance, the minute I came through the receptionist’s desk the rumours started, I knew that I stood out from the mortals in this school. Shifters normally looked more “attractive” than mortals. Thus the reason for the gossip, it sickened me of how mortals tend to judge a book by its cover. And the girls were another problem, I felt sorry for their fruitless attempts in trying to get my attention. My wolf was increasingly getting annoyed, we both knew that my attraction was reserved to my mate only.
