Amelia woke up in pain, there were red angry marks all over her arms and neck, but they were healing. She realised that they were shadow bites, the shadows who kidnapped her did not kill her, instead they bit her and brought her to whatever this place was. It was dark but here heightened senses could make out human-like shapes, the shadows. They sat surrounding her as if they wanted to keep her safe. But her head felt heavy, and her body felt as if it was on fire. Soon she lost consciousness.Read Full Chapter
Zaiden was going through the labs when he felt movement behind him, he turned just in time to block a death blow. They were panting hard, “where are the others?” Ender pantted. Zaiden shook his head, they haven’t come yet. They ran towards the nearest exit which was a terrible idea because soon they were welcomed by a mob of shadows. growling and snarling at them. Blood poured from their mouths and they snapped at them with sharp fangs. They started shooting, when the bullets finished they started using their powers, Ender fights the shadows with sharp shards of metal and Zanye uses different elemental powers to stop the zombies from reaching them. However, they were only down for a few minutes; they just held their wounds and kept coming. “We are going to die!” Ender started panicking, but before they even got a chance to reply a dark powder coated the air, taking away their vision and soon their consciousness.
Collins was very happy finally with these shadows he managed to get his hands on the elemental prince, it was very satisfying to watch him unconscious and defenceless in front of him. “Get them and chain them, you know where!” He commanded his soldiers and they left towards his hideout.
Victory was sweet, as soon as they arrived at the house where Amelia greeted him, she was chained to the wall, the machines connecting to her creating more of the virus draining her power and energy. “Chain them along with her!”, he nodded towards the walls. Then he laughed and laughed, feeling victory to the bones. His most profound invention was connected to her, “this will drain your powers and transfer them to this globe, and with the powers of creation and destruction with me i can finally take over this feeble city. ” he smiled when he saw the terrified look on her family and friends, “i knew she would escape the car accident and that you would find her, not just because you were sisters and friends, but because you are connected to form the circle of life, the so called group of warrior heirs who would protect the mortal and immortal realms, but poor you would not make it that far.”
Amelia watched colour drain out of Zaiden’s face, and her family’s horrified expression at the truth. A strangled sob left her little sister, when their eyes met she could only hope that she could see how sorry she was and how much she loved her and the rest of her adopted family. Her powers were leaving her along with the others, the sceptre absorbing all the power. She felt her energy drain, she felt exhausted, tears ran down her cheeks, ice formed at her feet. And all hope seemed lost.
Then suddenly she noticed something, a small mistake. His lips form a smile, it might be a small mistake, but this mistake will cost him his life. She met Zaiden’s eyes across the room, willing him to trust her. Then she shouted, “come on you big oof, take all my power!” when she saw his smile she knew it would haunt her for the rest of her immortal life. Her head filled with pain, black veins curled through her body, and the last bit of her power left her. Blood poured from her mouth and nose, and the shadows around her reacted, realising that the person who was controlling them was definitely not their mistress. They growled in fury and charged on to the soldiers. “You stupid mutt!, look at what you’ve done!” Collins screeched, without thinking twice, he grabbed the gun in his belt and shot.
